My new apartment is right on the Fox River, which is home to many ducks. I've put pictures of them on this site before. In the middle of May, 2007, the baby ducklings started making appearances. Erica and I went out with a camera, and found 37 ducklings in about a one mile-long walk. Thanx to a piece of wheat bread, we were able to get some pretty neat pictures.

Erica and I took our camera on a stroll around the river. The baby ducks are back, and this time we also found a sandhill crane!

In early June 2008, Southeastern Wisconsin had three days straight of storms. It was enough that the Fox River broke its banks! Streets were closed off, and a good number of people from the community were mulling about taking in the spectacle.

In January of 2009 I had to be in Door County for a friend's wedding. I made a point of stopping by Cave Point, and it was very much worth it! The ice was frozen about an inch thick. It wasn't enough to stop the waves, which created some really interesting ice piles. The park is a little hard to find, but I made a note of the GPS coordinates for future reference. Unfortunately its currently in the blurry area of the Google Sattelite photo, but thats all part of the conspiracy to hide it from you!
